In Cambodia, rice cultivation occupies some 2.3 million hectares - or 90% of the total agricultural area - and is the major source of farm income. Back in 1995, the government reported self-sufficiency in rice production and started rice exportation. A steady increase in rice production was seen year by year and as of 2011, with the surplus of 3.5 million tons of paddy rice (equivalent to 2 million tons of milled rice), Cambodia can be among the top five milled rice exporters in the world.

There are an estimated 3,000 different varieties of rice in Cambodia. Out of these 3,000 varieties, a selected few are considered as premium produce. These premium, elite produce is what we call aromatic, fragrant rice and this is what we are experts of, but no need to worry because we provide so much more varieties to cater to your specific needs.
